Anxiety & Depression | Postpartum

How do I process my emotions?

Emotions are real. We all have it. Whenever we are anxious or depressed, emotions seem to surface much stronger. Let's learn to process and navigate your emotions in a healthy way!
Therapy for anxiety entails working on excessive worries, overthinking, and ruminating thoughts that lead to severe anxiety. The cause of anxiety can be from various factors: biological, psychological, social, environmental, and neurological.
Depression is a persistent feeling of deep sadness, despair, and loss of enjoyment that impairs your daily living, which can also lead to self-harming or suicidal thoughts if left untreated. Depression is real but often overlooked or underseen. Mental health studies show that what we practice more becomes stronger. This means when we learn and practice healthier ways to navigate anxiety and depressive symptoms, including postpartum, the stronger those practices become. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other modalities, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), are integrated to help reduce and navigate anxious and depressive thoughts as you learn and apply strategies that work for you.
